Performance and Measurement

iQuanta

iQuanta is an internet-based analysis tool developed and maintained by the Performance Strategy Directorate. It turns statistical data routinely collected by the Home Office into useful information for understanding and improving crime reduction and community safety performance. It was launched in 2003.

iQuanta is updated regularly and is currently being developed to cover the whole range of indicators within the Assessments of Policing and Community Safety (APACS) framework.

iQuanta provides both graphical and tabular summaries of performance. A number of different chart types are available, covering comparison against peer group, current performance relative to historic performance and trends in performance.

Access to iQuanta is provided to police forces, police authorities and members of Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs) in England and Community Safety Partnerships (CSPs) in Wales. Users are generally managed by local iQuanta administrators in police forces (for police force users), police authorities (for police authority members and officials),  and government offices and Welsh Assembly Government (for CDRP/CSPs).  Requests for access should be directed to them in the first instance, or for more information, email the iQuanta team.
